This
car has been subject to major restoration and has been resprayed
in the period colour of Vermillion Red (looks orange) with
a white roof, including the inside and underside of the car.
The car has had replacement wings, door skins, A panels, sills
and front panel. This car, if looked after will last for many
years to come. Every panel is fitted perfectly. This car is
as clean on the underside as it is on the outside.
The
rear subframe is new, as are all the rear hubs, brake pipes,
fuel lines, the brakes have been refurbished all round. The
front subframe has been repainted and again, all the front
drive train has been refurbished (top & bottom ball joints
etc). New shock absorbers have been fitted as has a new exhaust
system. The car has been refitted with new bumpers and a chrome
grille. Without doubt one of the cleanest Classic Minis on
offer today. Mot'd and taxed till March 2009. The engine pulls
well and has been rebuilt, the gearbox also performs without
fault. Being an early Mini the brakes are of the drum variety
and therefore does not pull up as sprightly as a modern mini,
so if a new driver contemplates purchasing this car we would
suggest a disc brake + servo conversion might be the order
of the day. This car is an appreciating asset, especially
as 2009 is the 50th anniversary of the Classic Mini. Being
over 25 years old this car is also available for export, which
can be arranged at extra cost.
We
are currently using this car as our run around and it gets
admiring looks wherever we go in it. We like to use every
car we sell for at least 500 miles before they go to there
new owners. Takes less than £25 to fill her up too.
The
car is of course tax exempt, and fitted with the following
period extras:
Period
10" Cosmic style alloys, sandblasted & repainted
Black and silver number plates - totally legal as the car
is registered pre 1/1/1973
